Do you believe,
as I do, that the urge to create is inborn? There’s a special
feeling, a combination of madness and control when using your The freedom to express the creative energy in lush fabrics, to arrange incredible colors of currently available commercial and hand-dyed fabrics into works expressing humor (first choice for me always), joy, or even consternation, is a challenge I take on as my perfect pleasure. As I begin each piece there is the hope that what I see can be shared, probably not by everyone, but at least some will perceive the intention. |

as tools and your brain as the blueprint. At least there is for
me. Luckily my sister and I were graced with two grandmothers who
not only encouraged our young thirst to knit and crochet, embroider,
sew old cloth together for doll clothes, but provided necessaries
and instructed us with patience. They exclaimed over grubby knots
and stitches so tight they barely moved along knitting needles.
Both women were an inspiration
and I try to honor their tolerance and confidence in the young me
each day
